Faye Williams McLeod McCormick passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. But she will never actually be gone.

She leaves behind a husband, Scott McCormick, two children, Britt McCormick and Scotty McCormick, a grand daughter, Briana Allen, two grandsons, Andrue and Dylan Johnson, two brothers, Clayton and Jamie McLeod, a sister, Sari McLeod, a devoted mother-in-law, loving nieces, nephews, brothers- and sister-in-laws and countless friends and "adopted" children that benefitted from her guidance, support and spirit.

Billie, as she was known, graduated from University of Texas with a marketing degree. But she chose the role of the consummate mom. An independent person, she guided and sacrificed for not only her own children but for those who grew up to be family. She was the rock that so many depended on for advice, for support and for acceptance. Not only her own children, but others knew they would find understanding, advice and support in her.

That same support, understanding and counsel was shown to her husband. Love, of course. But she was a true, steady and unwavering life partner. Together, we faced many challenges and opportunities. Billie always had my back and I hers. She was fearless, lending me strength at every turn. Suffice to say, I would not be who or where I am without her constant love and support.

Her wide circle of friends were blessed with that same spirit. She was instensely loyal, loving and supportive.

She was my redhead. Fiery, fearless, steadfast, fun, smart, tireless, accepting...but most of all, loving. And her presence in so many lives will always remain.
